Kick off autumn with a whiskey cocktail that pairs apple spice and citrus with Bartender’s Secret Sauce.
September 22 marks the First Day of Fall, and there’s no better way to welcome the season than with a cozy, seasonal riff on the classic Old Fashioned. This Spiced Apple Old Fashioned features bold whiskey, crisp apple notes, and a warming cinnamon garnish—brought together with Bartender’s Secret Sauce Organic Old Fashioned Cocktail Syrup for smooth sweetness and spice in every pour.
Perfect for sipping at bonfires, tailgates, or cozy nights in.
Ingredients:
2 oz Bourbon or Rye Whiskey
¼ oz Bartender’s Secret Sauce Old Fashioned Cocktail Syrup
Garnish: Cinnamon stick and thin apple slice (optional: torched for aroma)
Instructions:
In a mixing glass, combine whiskey and Bartender’s Secret Sauce Old Fashioned Syrup.
Add ice and stir for 15 seconds until chilled.
Strain into a rocks glass over one large square ice cube.
Garnish with a cinnamon stick and apple slice. Optional: lightly torch the garnish for a smoky fall aroma.
With both bitters and sweetener already blended into Bartender’s Secret Sauce, you get a perfectly balanced Old Fashioned without the need to measure or muddle. The spiced, citrusy flavor profile pairs naturally with apple and cinnamon, giving this seasonal variation warm, layered complexity.
