A bold, moody cocktail with dark spirit energy for your Halloween gathering.
October 31 brings spooky vibes and strong pours. This Black Walnut Old Fashioned delivers both. Made with bold whiskey, Bartender’s Secret Sauce Old Fashioned Cocktail Syrup, and a few drops of black walnut bitters, this Halloween-ready cocktail is rich, dark, and hauntingly smooth.
Perfect for themed parties, scary movie nights, or sipping between trick-or-treaters.
Ingredients:
2 oz Bourbon or Rye Whiskey
¼ oz Bartender’s Secret Sauce Old Fashioned Cocktail Syrup
2 dashes black walnut bitters
Garnish: black cherry and orange twist or cinnamon stick
Instructions:
Stir whiskey and syrup (and bitters if using) over ice in a mixing glass.
Strain over one large cube in a rocks glass.
Garnish with a black cherry and orange twist (or cinnamon stick for extra warmth).
Optional: smoke the glass for a dramatic presentation.
This cocktail leans into fall’s darker, moodier energy while keeping the balance perfect with your Old Fashioned Syrup. It’s simple to build, easy to batch, and fits perfectly into Halloween aesthetics.
