🥒 Pickleback Old Fashioned – National Pickle Day 🥒

A quirky cocktail twist that brings brine to bourbon. Only for the bold.

November 14 is National Pickle Day, and we’re getting adventurous. The Pickleback Old Fashioned is an unexpected fusion that pairs bold whiskey with a splash of dill pickle brine—balanced beautifully with Bartender’s Secret Sauce Old Fashioned Cocktail Syrup.

It’s not your average cocktail, but for fans of savory sips and sharp contrast, it’s a wild ride worth taking.

🥃 Pickleback Old Fashioned – Recipe

    Ingredients:

    • 2 oz Bourbon or Rye Whiskey

    • ¼ oz Bartender’s Secret Sauce Old Fashioned Cocktail Syrup

    • ¼ oz dill pickle brine

    • Garnish: dill pickle chip and lemon twist (optional but fun)

    Instructions:

    1. In a mixing glass, combine whiskey, Bartender’s Secret Sauce Old Fashioned Cocktail Syrup, and pickle brine.

    2. Add ice and stir for 10–15 seconds until chilled.

    3. Strain into a rocks glass over one large ice cube.

    4. Garnish with a dill pickle chip and optional citrus twist.

✨ Why It Works (Kind Of)

The savory tang of pickle brine gets mellowed by the rich, spiced body of Bartender’s Secret Sauce Old Fashioned Cocktail Syrup, giving this oddball cocktail a sweet-and-sour balance. It’s bold, it’s weird, and it’s oddly satisfying—especially for pickle fans and VERY adventurous whiskey drinkers.
