October 1 is National Homemade Cookie Day, and weāre honoring it with a nostalgic favorite: soft, chewy molasses cookies elevated with Bartenderās Secret Sauce USDA Organic Demerara Syrup. These cookies are rich with spice, beautifully crackled, and perfect for cool weather gatherings or gifting.
Ingredients (makes ~24):
¾ cup unsalted butter, softened
½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup Bartenderās Secret Sauce Demerara Syrup
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 ½ tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground ginger
¼ tsp ground cloves
¼ tsp salt
Granulated sugar for rolling
Instructions:
Cream butter, brown sugar, and Demerara Syrup. Add egg and vanilla.
Stir in dry ingredients. Chill dough 30 minutes.
Scoop and roll into balls, coat with sugar, and bake at 350°F for 10ā12 min.
Cool on wire racks.
Demerara syrup adds moisture and rich caramel flavor to these cookies while complementing the warm spices perfectly. You get soft centers, crisp edges, and a depth of flavor white sugar just canāt provide.
