A brighter, better Mojito made with Bartender’s Secret Sauce USDA Organic Demerara Syrup
July 11th is National Mojito Day, and this year we’re giving the iconic Cuban cocktail an elevated twist by replacing granulated sugar or basic simple syrup with Bartender’s Secret Sauce USDA Organic Demerara Syrup.
The result? A Mojito that’s lighter, smoother, and bursting with fresh flavor — no gritty sugar, no over-sweet finish. Our Demerara Syrup adds caramel richness and blends instantly into the drink, making this classic even more enjoyable and easier to prepare.
Whether you’re mixing for one or serving a crowd, this recipe brings bar-quality Mojitos to your summer patio in seconds.
Ingredients:
2 oz White or Light Rum
¾ oz Fresh Lime Juice
¼ oz Bartender’s Secret Sauce Demerara Syrup
6–8 Fresh Mint Leaves
Club soda to top
Garnish: Mint sprig and lime wheel
Instructions:
In a shaker or mixing glass, gently muddle mint leaves with lime juice.
Add rum and Bartender’s Secret Sauce Demerara Syrup.
Add ice and shake briefly to chill.
Strain into a highball glass filled with fresh ice.
Top with club soda and stir gently.
Garnish with a mint sprig and lime wheel.
Using Demerara Syrup eliminates the mess of muddling sugar and creates a Mojito with deeper complexity. The molasses note adds richness, balancing the sharp lime and herbal mint without overwhelming the drink. It’s refreshing, refined, and ready for any summer celebration!
