🍹 Bourbon Demerara Sweet Tea – National Iced Tea Day 🍹

A Southern-inspired cocktail that blends bourbon, black tea, and Bartender’s Secret Sauce Organic Demerara Syrup for a smooth summer sipper.

June 10 is National Iced Tea Day, and there’s no better way to celebrate than with a bold, Southern-style twist. This Bourbon Demerara Sweet Tea brings together the smoky richness of good bourbon, the smooth tannins of chilled black tea, and the deep caramel complexity of Bartender’s Secret Sauce USDA Organic Demerara Syrup.

It’s the ultimate summer porch pour—simple to make, endlessly sippable, and perfect for backyard BBQs, tailgates, or long weekends in the sun. This cocktail balances sweetness, strength, and Southern charm in every glass, making it a go-to for any warm-weather occasion.

🍋 Bourbon Demerara Sweet Tea – Recipe

    Ingredients:

    • 2 oz Bourbon (we love Elijah Craig, Woodford Reserve, or Wild Turkey 101)

    • Âľ cup chilled black tea (Earl Grey, English Breakfast, or Southern sweet tea base)

    • ½ oz Bartender’s Secret Sauce Organic Demerara Syrup

    • ÂĽ oz fresh lemon juice

    • Garnish: Lemon wheel and mint sprig (optional)

    Instructions:

    1. In a cocktail shaker or mixing glass, combine bourbon, chilled tea, Demerara syrup, and lemon juice.

    2. Add ice and shake or stir to chill thoroughly.

    3. Strain into a highball or Collins glass filled with fresh ice.

    4. Garnish with a lemon wheel and mint sprig.

    5. Serve with a straw or stir stick and enjoy the Southern breeze.

    ✨ Why It Works

This recipe gives the classic sweet tea a cocktail upgrade with minimal effort. The Demerara syrup dissolves instantly into chilled tea, bringing warm molasses depth that regular sugar or simple syrup can’t touch. A splash of lemon brightens the drink, while the bourbon keeps it bold and grown-up. It’s as easy to batch for a crowd as it is to shake up solo.
